Careers Programme Overview
Careers education at Trinity Academy Brixton is a strategic priority. Our programme is carefully planned, regularly reviewed, and designed to ensure that every student is supported to make ambitious, informed choices about their future.
Our Careers Programme is structured, progressive, and inclusive, ensuring that all students - regardless of background - can access high-quality guidance, meaningful employer encounters, and personalised support.
Trinity Ambition Programme
All students at Trinity Academy follow the Trinity Ambitions Programme, a structured Careers journey from Year 7 to Year 13.
This programme sets out what every student is entitled to receive, including career exploration, employer encounters, workplace experiences, guidance interviews and application support.
The programme reflects our belief that with the right support, no doors are closed for Trinity students.
Gatsby Benchmarks Summary
Trinity Academy's Careers Programme is aligned to the Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Career Guidance and is reviewed annually using Compass+.
We are currently achieving 100% in the following benchmarks:
- Benchmark 1 – A Stable Careers Programme
- Benchmark 5 – Encounters with Employers and Employees
- Benchmark 6 – Experiences of Workplaces
- Benchmark 8 – Personal Guidance
Where benchmarks are not yet fully met, they form part of our ongoing strategic improvement priorities, ensuring continuous development and high standards across our provision.
Careers Impact & Continuous Improvement
Trinity Academy is commencing the use of the Careers Impact System as part of a wider government-supported initiative.
This will strengthen how we evaluate, evidence and improve the impact of our Careers Programme, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of our students and reflects best practice nationally.
Provider Access (Baker Clause)
Trinity Academy is committed to providing students with high-quality encounters with employers and education and training providers.
Students subject to the current Trinity Ambitions Programme are set to receive at least six provider encounters across Years 8–13, including opportunities to learn about apprenticeships, technical education, further education and higher education.
Providers wishing to request access should contact the Careers Team.
Our full Provider Access Policy is available here.
UNIFROG (Student & Parent Information)
